Issues around sex work
About this Session
In this video training session, Matt from TDI talks about issues around sex work as it currently exists in the UK. We introduce what we mean by 'sex work' and the related term of 'prostitution', we dispel some myths around the work and workers, we examine the legal status of sex work and activities around it, we talk about the national police strategy of harm reduction around sexual abuse and offending against sex workers, and we touch on issues of human trafficking and Child Sexual Exploitation.
This video is accompanied by an exercise, 'Sex workers in their own words', which is available alongside the video.
